How to get involved

You can support the work of the Shanti Trust by making donations to support any of our projects. We are currently looking for volunteers of any age to help support our work. We can arrange placements that build on your specific skills or for those who just want to help make a difference. We have a purpose built volunteer house (left). It is near the local school and just 100 metres from Makuzi Beach. Should they wish, volunteers are able to stay at Makuzi and to use its facilities including a bar, restaurant and private beach. Elaine (left) and Matt (right) are just two of our recent volunteers who contributed to the work of the Shanti Trust and gained a life-changing experience in return. Elaine helped educate local women on health and hygiene whilst Matt worked with Mark and Carlos to help develop our woodland management work.
